What does the DownUnder Model Management do?

DownUnder recruits contract models and provides management/representation for web cam models. We specialise in models from Australia and South-East Asia. 

What is a Web Model

A web model, or web cam model, is an entertainer on a video chat network. Generally web cam models pose, dance and perform on web cameras for an adult audience, and are paid for their time. There are various categories of web cam models or ‘cam girls’ and different levels of modelling and content that you can choose to work in.

What Does a Web Cam Model Do?

Web cam models can perform exotic dance, non-nude or nude, strip-tease and other forms of ‘soft’ adult related entertainment. Cam girls will often spend time in network chat rooms interacting with customers, and will also spend time in private chat with customers who pay a premium for the priviledge of spending time chatting with, admiring and being entertained by a model.

Am I Able to Model with No Experience?

Yes, absolutely. No experience is required to work as a cam model. You will be provided with support and guidance, as well as assistance in making sure that you are ready to work effectively as a model. What you need is a friendly attitude, an open mind, an interest in entertainment and the ability to be comfortable in front of a camera.

What Age do I Need to Be to Work as a Web Cam Model?

All web cam models must be strictly 18 years of age and over. Model applications must be accompanied by proof of age and identity to confirm that age requirements are met. We accept applications from models of all ages from 18 to 35.

Does it Matter Which Country I Live In?

No, not at all. We recruit and represent models from mainly from Australia and South East Asia but are happy to consider other applicants. The only requirement is that you can speak or type in English. 

What do I Need to Start Web Cam Modelling?

You will need a web cam (preferably a High Definition camera), along with a computer and a fast internet connection. Most web cam models use a web cam along with a microphone. We can help you out with understanding exactly what equipment is required. Lighting is also important but we will give you advice on that.

How Much Do Cam Models Earn? 

Cam girls can earn really good money. Many experienced web cam models to earn over $100,000 per year. In most cases, how much you earn depends on the hours you work, and how much effort you put in. Most models will work a minimum of 20 hours per week to begin with and this can pay between $400 to $1000 depending on how successful you are. As you gain experience you will be able to earn excellent money. During private chat sessions, cam girls are paid by the minute. They also earn significant amounts from tips.

How Are Cam Models Paid?

One of the advantages of working with DownUnder Model Management is ease of payment. If you are based in Australia we can direct deposit in to your bank account. Otherwise we can pay you by wire transfer*, Paypal and Payoneer *some fees apply. Models are paid twice per month on the 2nd and 17th of the month. As models are independent contractors, it is expected that they manage their own tax. All dollar amounts earned are quoted in $USD and will be converted to $AUD at the prevailing rates and fees for direct deposits.

How Much Work is Available and What Hours Can I Model? 

Due to the huge growth in the web cam model industry, and the rise in popularity of cam girl sites work is available 24/7. This means that you are able to work at a time that suits you - it could be a few hours a night after work, or it could be any time that suits you. You are your own boss and decide when and how long you work.

Web cam modelling covers a number of niches, however DownUnder Model Management only represents models who perform ‘soft’ adult entertainment such as exotic dance, non-nude or nude, strip-tease, adult chat etc. Some models prefer to work with a friend/couple and this is fine. The most important thing in web cam modelling is to find your niche and appeal to a particular type of customer. 

Can I Model with a Friend or Partner? 

Of course, in fact working with a friend or partner may increase your earning potential in the right circumstances. Some models feel more confident working with a partner, so this is encouraged. In all cases, only approved models who have submitted applications can perform on camera.

Is it Safe, and How Do I Protect My Privacy? 

Working as a web cam model is completely safe and private. All models work under a fantasy stage name. You work from home, and no-one has access to your name, direct contact details or address. You can elect to use certain privacy features such as blocking access to your web cam from people in a particular country if you wish. This can be setup when you commence with us. Web modelling is arguably one of the safest jobs available.
